Area Sales Manager (Assistant Manager/ Sr. Manager) – Trade Sales

Job Purpose

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) drives day-to-day sales operations, retail penetration, and territory target achievements across an assigned Area (comprising multiple districts and upazilas). The role focuses on managing local dealers, ensuring timely product delivery, enforcing field force discipline, and executing ground-level promotional activities.

Department: Sales & Marketing (Trade Division)

Reports To: Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) / NSM

Location: District Headquarters (covering 3 to 5 Districts)

Supervises: Assistant Manager, Senior Sales Executives, Sales Executive

Job Location: Corporate office, Banani, Dhaka-1213

Key Responsibilities

• Area Sales Target Achievement: Achieve assigned sales volume targets for domestic wiring, flexible cables, and power cables within the assigned area.

• Retail & Outlet Coverage: Ensure Territory Officers cover all retail hardware/electrical shops according to fixed Permanent Journey Plans (PJP).

• Payment & Collection Monitoring: Monitor payment recovery from local dealers and ensure timely collection against trade credit extensions.

• Local Market Intelligence: Track competitor prices, retail trade margins, and promotional schemes offered by competing cable brands.

• Electrician Loyalty & Influencer Push: Conduct monthly local electrician workshops (Elm-Meets) to drive pull-demand for house wiring cables.

Age At most 40 years Experience: 5–8 years in trade/field sales within the electrical, hardware, paints, or building materials industry.Skills: Route planning, dealer relationship management, communication, and team supervision.
