Optimize voyage profitability by analyzing freight revenue, charter income, bunker costs, port and canal charges, agency expenses, demurrage, dispatch, laytime performance, and voyage contribution margins to improve commercial returns and operational efficiency.
Establish and oversee financial governance for time charter, voyage charter, bareboat charter, freight contracts, charter hire settlements, receivables, customer credit exposure, and commercial pricing to maximize contract profitability and minimize financial risk.
Lead enterprise-wide budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-term financial planning, and scenario modelling by evaluating freight market cycles, vessel deployment, cargo demand, fuel prices, foreign exchange movements, and macroeconomic conditions to support strategic decision-making.
Manage treasury, banking relationships, trade finance, syndicated financing, foreign exchange exposure, debt portfolio, working capital, loan covenant compliance, and cash flow forecasting to maintain optimal liquidity, funding capability, and financial resilience.
Evaluate and optimize vessel acquisitions, disposals, leasing, fleet modernization, dry docking, retrofitting, major repairs, capital investments, asset impairment, and lifecycle economics to maximize return on invested capital and long-term asset value.
Direct the Company's marine insurance strategy covering Hull & Machinery, Protection & Indemnity (P&I), Cargo, War Risk, and related claims management to minimize financial exposure and ensure comprehensive operational risk protection.
Ensure full financial compliance with maritime regulations, customs requirements, port authority obligations, vessel registration rules, international trade regulations, taxation, banking requirements, and statutory reporting to safeguard legal and operational continuity.
Design and strengthen an enterprise financial risk management framework addressing freight market volatility, bunker price fluctuations, foreign exchange, interest rates, counterparty credit, contractual obligations, insurance exposure, and business continuity to protect organizational value.
Drive sustainable cost leadership across vessel operations, procurement, bunkering, maintenance, logistics, dry docking, marine services, port operations, and corporate functions to improve profitability while maintaining operational excellence.
Deliver timely financial statements, Board reports, management dashboards, voyage profitability analyses, fleet performance reports, investment appraisals, cash flow projections, and strategic business insights to enable informed executive and Board decisions.
Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to evaluate mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, terminal investments, logistics expansion, fleet growth, and new shipping opportunities through rigorous financial due diligence and investment analysis to accelerate sustainable business growth.
Lead digital finance transformation by implementing and optimizing ERP platforms, Maritime ERP, Voyage Management Systems, Fleet Management Systems, Business Intelligence tools, AI-enabled analytics, automation, and advanced reporting capabilities to enhance financial visibility, productivity, and decision quality.
Champion ESG and green finance initiatives by evaluating sustainable financing opportunities, IMO decarbonization investments, carbon reduction projects, climate-related financial reporting, and environmentally responsible fleet modernization to support long-term sustainability objectives.
Advise and influence the CEO, Group CFO, Board of Directors, financial institutions, investors, auditors, regulators, and strategic partners through high-quality financial insights, governance, and commercial guidance to strengthen stakeholder confidence and drive sustainable enterprise value.
Educational & Professional Qualification:MBA in Finance or Master's in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA are highly preferred.Experience & Additional Requirement:Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in Finance and Accounts.Minimum 7 years in shipping, maritime transportation, vessel operations, shipping agencies, port management, marine logistics, offshore logistics, freight forwarding, or other capital-intensive maritime businesses.Demonstrated expertise in fleet financing, voyage accounting, treasury management, trade finance, commercial finance, and capital investment.Proven experience managing large-scale financing arrangements, banking relationships, syndicated loans, foreign currency exposure, and enterprise financial transformation.Experience presenting financial strategy and investment recommendations to Boards, Executive Committees, investors, and financial institutions.
