Job Description

  • To provide qualitative medical service to the patient. (General, Pediatric unit)
  • To counsel patients and patient attendants regarding the surgical procedure and obtain consent for the operation during any surgical health camp.
  • To attend a specialized consultancy camp as an assistant to a consultant.
  • To check and provide monthly regular medicine and health camp medicine requisition to the medical storekeeper, considering the quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Taking care of surgical patients in the ward, especially doing all the dressings and stitching of traumatic injury patients in coordination with the OT-in-charge.
  • Preparation of the monthly service data report and sending it to the MIS officer.
  • Primary screening of the patients for any surgery camp.
  • To give Post-operative treatment in consultation with the PM/Anesthetist during any surgical camp in the ward and patient shade.
  • Regular Cleanliness of one’s own service area and appropriately fill up the daily quality checklist chart to ensure the status (functional or not).
  • To make a daily quality checklist to ensure asset status (functional or not) – Daily
  • To maintain the Patient Record Register-Daily, Secondary health camp register to keep patients’ details for further query, secondary health camp medicine store register.
  • To manage any emergency patient and refer as per the patient's condition to the Sadar/District Hospital, in coordination with the program manager, for better management.
  • To inform and disseminate program activities to the community leaders, allied persons, and FCMs through outreach and the BCC team in the new location of every ship movement, and also coordinate with the village/char doctor, teacher, and other relevant local stakeholders.
  • To attend capacity building sessions on Clinical aspects, Monthly Coordination meeting, meeting regarding Clinical Issues, monthly performance, and visits etc., arranged by Program Manager.
  • Assist in OT when needed.
  • Any work assigned as per the advice of the higher authority.
  • Taking the lead during Secondary Health Camps roster duties.
