Job Context
Q Hotel Dhaka – a concern of Quality Hospitality Limited – is an upcoming Five-Star Hotel with Multi-Purpose Office Complex featuring two independent 20-storied towers (built-up area more than 35,000 sqm) located at Purbachal New Town, adjacent to the 300 Feet Express Way. The hotel will feature 152 well-appointed guestrooms & suites (including 2 Presidential Suites), 4 international standard restaurants & lounge, multi-purpose banquet & conference facilities, outdoor heated swimming pool, gymnasium, spa & wellness centre.
The hotel is currently in the pre-opening phase and is expected to commence full operation in Q4 2026. We are looking for a highly experienced, service-driven and result-oriented professional for the position of Banquet Operations Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Overall planning, coordination and execution of all banquet, conference, meeting, wedding, corporate event, gala dinner, exhibition and social function operations to the highest five-star standards.
Translate confirmed event contracts and banquet event orders (BEOs) into seamless operational delivery while ensuring service excellence, guest satisfaction and profitability.
Lead and supervise the banquet team in set-up, service, breakdown and closing of all events with strict adherence to brand standards, hygiene and presentation.
Coordinate closely with Sales & Events, Kitchen, Stewarding, Engineering, Housekeeping, Front Office, Security and Finance for flawless event execution.
Ensure proper manpower planning, rostering, briefing, training and performance management of banquet service staff.
Maintain strict control over food & beverage quality, service standards, labour productivity, equipment, inventory, linen and operating costs.
Monitor and improve guest satisfaction scores related to banquet and event experiences.
Handle VIP and high-profile events with exceptional attention to detail and personalised service.
Assist in menu engineering, upselling and maximising banquet revenue opportunities.
Ensure full compliance with food safety (HACCP), health, safety and statutory regulations.
Prepare operational reports, analyse event performance and recommend continuous improvements.
Perform any other duties assigned by the superior / General Manager as per business requirements.
Age 32 to 45 years Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry.At least 5 years as Banquet Operations Manager / Banquet Manager in an upper-upscale or five-star hotel.Pre-opening experience in a five-star / upper-upscale hotel will be considered a strong advantage.Experience with international hotel brands in the Dhaka market will be an added advantage.Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Strong knowledge of hotel software (Opera, Fidelio, POS systems).Excellent knowledge of Food & Beverage and Conference / Banqueting operations.Strong financial acumen and cost-control ability.Well-groomed, organized, focused and detail-oriented with pleasing personality.Excellent communication skills in English (written & verbal).Strong problem-solving, analytical and leadership skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, mentor teams and remain available on call as per business demands.Excellent guest service and guest relation skills.
