Job Description

Q Hotel Dhaka, an upcoming premium hospitality property under Quality Hospitality Limited, is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Executive / Sr. Executive – Internal Audit to support the development and implementation of an effective internal control and audit system. The position will be responsible for reviewing hotel operations, financial transactions, revenue, inventory, procurement, F&B activities, and compliance with established policies and procedures.

Candidates with relevant experience in 5-star or higher-category hotels will be highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Conduct regular operational and financial audits across different hotel departments.
Review hotel revenue transactions, including room revenue, F&B revenue, banquet, events and other operating income.
Verify daily sales, cash collections, credit transactions, discounts, complimentary services, voids, refunds and adjustments.
Conduct inventory audits and physical stock verification for F&B, housekeeping, engineering, and other operational stores.
Review procurement processes, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receiving, supplier invoices and payment documentation.
Verify compliance with approved hotel policies, SOPs, authorization limits, and internal control procedures.
Identify control weaknesses, irregularities, process gaps and potential financial or operational risks.
Conduct surprise checks on cash, inventory, stores, outlets, and other operational areas when required.
Review payroll-related records, staff meals, complimentary items, wastage, and other employee-related operational expenses.
Reconcile relevant records between PMS, POS, ERP/accounting systems and supporting documents.
Monitor departmental expenses and identify unusual variances or transactions requiring further review.
Prepare audit observations, working papers, reports and recommendations for management review.
Follow up on previous audit findings and monitor implementation of corrective actions.
Coordinate with Finance, Front Office, F&B, Stores, Procurement, Engineering, HR and other departments during audit activities.
Assist in developing and improving internal control systems, audit procedures, checklists and SOPs.
Maintain confidentiality of financial, operational and employee information.
Perform any other audit and control-related responsibilities assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Age 30 to 40 years Hospitality/Hotel industry experience is strongly preferred.Candidates with experience in 5-star or higher-category hotels will receive preference.Strong understanding of hotel operations, particularly Front Office, F&B, Banquet, Stores, Procurement, Revenue, and Finance.Good knowledge of PMS, POS, ERP/accounting systems, and MS Excel.Strong analytical, numerical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate irregularities, and recommend practical control measures.Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with different hotel departments.Strong attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.Willingness to work flexible hours and conduct surprise/operational audits when required.
