About the Role
Q HOTEL Dhaka is seeking a dynamic and service-driven Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in delivering exceptional dining experiences. You will play a key role in supervising daily restaurant operations, leading the service team, maintaining five-star standards, and driving guest satisfaction and revenue performance.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Restaurant Manager in the overall operation and administration of the restaurant.
Supervise daily opening and closing procedures and ensure the restaurant is fully prepared for each service.
Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate daily operational requirements to the team.
Allocate duties and sections to restaurant service staff.
Monitor staff attendance, grooming, punctuality and performance.
Ensure consistently high standards of food and beverage service.
Welcome guests and deliver a warm, professional and personalized dining experience.
Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests and complaints.
Handle service recovery professionally and escalate serious issues when required.
Monitor table reservations, seating arrangements and guest flow.
Coordinate closely with the Kitchen to ensure timely and efficient food service.
Monitor food presentation, portioning, temperature and service timing.
Ensure menus, table settings, equipment and restaurant presentation meet hotel standards.
Support restaurant promotions, special events and seasonal campaigns.
Drive upselling and suggestive-selling to maximize revenue.
Monitor daily sales, covers, average check and key performance indicators.
Assist in achieving revenue, cost-control and profitability targets.
Monitor food and beverage wastage and take corrective action.
Ensure proper control of operating supplies, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
Assist with stock control, requisitions and inventory monitoring.
Ensure full compliance with hotel SOPs, food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
Conduct regular service-quality checks and coach team members.
Assist with staff training, induction and performance development.
Prepare or support daily operational reports and shift handovers.
Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, Sales & Marketing and other departments.
Assist with staff scheduling and manpower planning.
Maintain professional grooming, appearance and conduct at all times.
Perform other duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager or F&B Manager.
Age 30 to 45 years 5–10 years of relevant experience in hotels or restaurants.Experience with an international hotel brand will be a strong advantage.Pre-opening or post-opening experience in a five-star / upper-upscale hotel will be highly regarded.Previous experience as Restaurant Supervisor, Assistant Restaurant Manager, Outlet Supervisor or similar role is preferred.Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, F&B service and guest-service standards.Experience in staff supervision, training and shift management.Knowledge of POS systems, inventory control and basic F&B financial procedures.Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP principles.Strong communication, leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.Commercial awareness with focus on revenue generation and cost control.Good command of English; additional languages will be an advantage.Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods.Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
