Jr. Officer/Officer, Price Verification & Confirmation

Ziska Pharmaceuticals Limited, one of the reputed pharmaceutical companies in Bangladesh, is looking for a Jr. Officer/Officer, Price Verification & Confirmation for its newly launched venture, Fair Price Super Market. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring accurate and competitive product pricing through regular competitor surveys, vendor price verification and local market price monitoring.

Job Location: Shofipur, Gazipur

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and confirm the selling prices of products available at the Fair Price Super Market based on approved pricing guidelines and market information.

• Conduct regular surveys of competitor super shops, retail outlets, local markets and other relevant sales channels to collect current product prices.

• Collect and compare prices of similar products from major competitors and local market sources.

• Verify product prices with vendors/suppliers and obtain updated purchase prices, offers, discounts, trade promotions and other relevant commercial information.

• Prepare and maintain a competitor and market price database for key products.

• Identify significant price differences between the Super Shop, competitors, vendors and local markets and report findings to management.

• Coordinate with Procurement/Purchase, Commercial, Operations and Store teams regarding price verification and confirmation.

• Support the review and recommendation of selling prices, promotional prices and price adjustments based on market conditions and approved business guidelines.

• Verify promotional offers, discounts and special prices before implementation to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Conduct periodic physical market visits and collect price information through systematic surveys.

• Ensure accuracy and reliability of collected price information through proper cross-checking and validation.

• Maintain records of vendor quotations, competitor prices, market survey data, price comparisons and approved price changes.

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly price verification, competitor analysis and market survey reports.

• Highlight unusual price variations, pricing errors or discrepancies for management review and corrective action.

• Maintain confidentiality of company pricing, vendor and commercial information.

• Perform any other price verification, market survey or commercial support activities assigned by management.

Good understanding of retail pricing and market price comparison.Strong market survey and data collection skills.Good knowledge of competitor price monitoring and price benchmarking.Ability to conduct field visits and collect accurate market information.Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with cross-functional teams.Experience Requirements:1–2 years of relevant experience in Price Verification, Procurement/Purchase, Commercial, Retail Operations, Market Survey, Merchandising or a similar role.Experience in Super Shop/Retail, FMCG, distribution, procurement or consumer business will be preferred.
