Job Description

Job Purpose

Lead accounting, finance, reporting, cost control and compliance activities for food and beverage operations while supporting profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

  • Review and validate journal entries, reconciliations and general ledger transactions to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.

  • Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and cash management functions to optimize financial operations and liquidity.

  • Monitor daily revenue, POS reconciliations, and cash collection processes to ensure accuracy and effective financial control.

  • Analyze food and beverage costs, investigate variances, and recommend corrective measures to enhance cost efficiency and profitability.

  • Evaluate recipe costing, menu profitability, and gross margin performance to support pricing and operational decisions.

  • Direct inventory control processes, including stock movement, physical inventory counts and wastage analysis.

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management processes to support strategic planning and financial sustainability.

  • Develop and present financial and management reports, incorporating key performance indicators (KPIs), variance analysis, and actionable business insights.

  • Ensure full compliance with IFRS, statutory tax regulations, internal policies, and corporate governance requirements.

  • Manage internal and external audit engagements and oversee the timely implementation of audit findings and recommendations.

  • Establish and strengthen internal control frameworks to mitigate financial risks, prevent fraud, and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Support procurement and operational teams by providing financial analysis and strategic recommendations to support informed decision-making.

  • Lead, mentor and develop the finance team through performance management, coaching, and capability-building initiatives.

Job Requirements

Age 28 to 45 years Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally or equivalent). Strong expertise in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, cost management, inventory accounting, financial reporting, taxation, internal controls and IFRS compliance.Demonstrates strategic leadership, sound business acumen, analytical thinking and high ethical standards. Exhibits strong communication and stakeholder management skills, attention to detail, problem-solving capability, decision-making ability, accountability, adaptability and the capacity to lead high-performing teams in a dynamic business environment.Candidates with experience in the relevant industry will be given preference. Educational qualifications and experience requirements may be relaxed for exceptionally suitable candidates
