Design and develop warehouse racking systems (Shelving, selective, double deep, drive-in, cantilever, shuttle, AS/RS, etc.)
Prepare 2D/3D CAD drawings, BOQ and installation layouts
Perform load calculations, structural analysis, and seismic design compliance as per BNBC, EN, FEM, or RMI standards
Optimize designs for cost efficiency, safety, and space utilization
Provide technical support to sales & project teams during client proposals and project execution
Collaborate with production for fabrication details and resolve technical issues
Ensure compliance with international racking standards (RMI, EN 15512, FEM, SEMA)
Supervise or guide junior designers
Review and approve final drawings before release to clients or production
Stay updated on latest racking technologies, seismic design practices, and automation systems (shuttle, stacker crane, robotic storage)
Age At least 26 years Strong understanding of seismic design principles for storage racksHands-on experience with AutoCAD (2010 or later), SolidWorks, Tekla, or similar design softwareKnowledge of structural analysis software (STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ANSYS, or equivalent) is a strong advantageUnderstanding of material properties (SS400, S355, Q355B, etc.) for racking steelExperience in automated storage systems (ASRS, shuttle racking, robotic racking)Prior experience in a steel/racking manufacturing companyFamiliarity with warehouse operations and MHE (Material Handling Equipment)
