Develop and implement efficient production layouts, workstation designs, and process flows for knitting, linking, washing, finishing, quality inspection, and packing operations using Industrial Engineering techniques.
- Conduct operation breakdowns, time studies, motion studies, SMV validation, and method improvements to establish accurate production standards.
- Prepare capacity plans and manpower requirements based on production plans and machine availability.
- Balance production lines and allocate operators effectively to minimize Work-in-Process (WIP), bottlenecks, and idle time.
- Monitor hourly production, efficiency, utilization, and target achievement across all sweater production processes, taking corrective actions where necessary.
- Analyze production losses, non-productive time (NPT), machine downtime, and operator idle time, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead root cause analysis for low productivity, production delays, and efficiency gaps, ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop operator skill matrices, conduct skill assessments, grading, and multi-skilling programs to improve workforce flexibility.
- Train supervisors, line leaders, and operators on standard methods, best practices, productivity improvement, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including efficiency, capacity utilization, labor productivity, WIP, NPT, NPOT, absenteeism, and production attainment.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Merchandising, and HR teams to ensure smooth production flow and on-time shipment.
- Monitor Defects per Hundred Units (DHU), rework, rejection rates, and process compliance, working closely with Quality to improve first-pass yield.
- Support new style development by conducting feasibility studies, pilot runs, process validation, and production risk assessments.
- Optimize machine utilization, knitting program efficiency, linking capacity, and finishing processes to maximize productivity.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly IE reports including efficiency analysis, productivity trends, capacity studies, manpower utilization, cost analysis, and management dashboards.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Continuous Improvement (CI), and waste elimination initiatives throughout the sweater factory.
- Participate in factory productivity improvement projects, automation initiatives, and digital IE implementation where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
