Officer / Sr. Officer – Procurement (Engineering)

Quality Feeds Limited is seeking a dynamic, proactive and detail-oriented professional for the position of Officer / Sr. Officer – Procurement (Engineering). The incumbent will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing and ensuring the timely supply of engineering machinery, spare parts, equipment and other technical items required for the company's operations. Candidates with relevant procurement experience in engineering, manufacturing, feed, poultry, agro-based or industrial sectors will be given preference.

Responsibilities

• Source engineering machinery, equipment, spare parts, electrical, mechanical and technical items from local and international suppliers.

• Obtain quotations, conduct price comparisons, and negotiate with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement.

• Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Comparative Statements (CS), Purchase Orders (PO), and other procurement documentation.

• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships.

• Coordinate with user departments to understand technical specifications and procurement requirements.

• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials while maintaining quality standards.

• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and pricing to optimize procurement costs.

• Conduct supplier visits and factory inspections whenever required.

• Follow up on order processing, shipment schedules, and delivery status.

• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.

• Support inventory optimization by coordinating with stores and maintenance teams.

• Assist in preparing procurement reports, budgets, and cost analyses.

• Handle emergency and project-based purchases as required.

• Perform any other procurement-related duties assigned by management.

Age 26 to 32 yearsOnly Male Experience in procurement of engineering machinery, spare parts, industrial equipment, factory maintenance materials or technical items will be highly preferred.Experience in manufacturing, feed, poultry, agro-industrial, FMCG or similar industries will be an added advantage.Sound knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.Ability to understand engineering drawings, specifications and technical requirements.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
