Job Summary
The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales, profitability, and operational excellence for the mobile phones and accessories category across retail stores. This role involves managing product assortment, pricing, inventory, promotions, team performance, and customer experience to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Management
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Monitor category-wise sales performance for mobile phones, wearables, audio products, and accessories.
- Analyze sales trends and identify growth opportunities.
- Drive average selling price (ASP), gross margin, and units per transaction.
- Ensure achievement of KPIs such as revenue, gross profit, sell-through, and attachment rate.
2. Product & Category Management
- Manage product assortment across brands such as Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, Realme, Honor, and OnePlus.
- Plan product launches and coordinate with vendors.
- Ensure the right mix of entry, mid-range, and premium models.
- Manage lifecycle of products including new launches, markdowns, and end-of-life clearance.
3. Inventory Management
- Maintain optimum stock levels to avoid stock-outs and overstock.
- Monitor days of inventory, aging stock, and sell-through rates.
- Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams for timely replenishment.
- Plan stock allocation by store, brand, and color.
4. Pricing & Margin Management
- Set retail prices, promotional offers, and discount structures.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends.
- Ensure target gross margin and back margin achievement.
- Manage bundle offers and financing programs such as 0% EMI.
5. Promotion & Marketing
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns for festive and seasonal sales.
- Coordinate with marketing teams for in-store branding, digital campaigns, and social media promotions.
6. Store Operations Support
- Ensure stores maintain proper product displays and merchandising standards.
- Monitor product availability and visual presentation.
7. Vendor & Supplier Management
- Build strong relationships with brand principals and distributors.
- Negotiate purchase terms, rebates, and promotional support.
8. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on sales, margin, inventory, and market performance.
- Analyze brand, model, and store-level profitability.
