Sub Assistant Engineer/Shift Engineer-Kiln and Press, Tiles

• Ensure smooth, safe, and uninterrupted operation of kiln and dryer systems during the assigned shift

• Monitor and control kiln operating parameters, including temperature profile, firing curve, kiln speed, pressure, and airflow, to ensure optimum product quality.

• Maintain accurate records of production output, kiln parameters, fuel consumption, downtime, quality issues, and maintenance activities.

• Implement and maintain 5S, housekeeping, and good manufacturing practices (GMP) in the kiln section.

• Train and guide kiln operators on safe operation, troubleshooting, and quality control procedures.

• Investigate firing defects and coordinate with relevant departments to eliminate root causes.

• Perform proper shift handover by communicating production status, equipment condition, ongoing issues, and pending actions to the incoming shift engineer.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Production Manager or Plant Management.

Press

• Ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of the hydraulic press machines during the assigned shift.

• Supervise the press operators and helpers, ensuring safe and efficient execution of production activities.

• Achieve daily production targets while maintaining the required quality standards.

• Coordinate with the Maintenance Department for preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.

• Monitor green tile quality, including dimensions, weight, cracks, laminations, and surface defects, and take immediate corrective actions.

• Coordinate with the Body Preparation and Kiln Departments to ensure a smooth production flow.

• Optimize raw material utilization and minimize production waste and rejection.

• Maintain accurate shift production reports, machine downtime records, rejection reports, and maintenance logs.

• Housekeeping and workplace cleanliness in the press section.

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, PPE requirements, and company policies.

• Monitor energy consumption and promote efficient use of utilities.

Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.        Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in MS Office and production reporting
