Job Description

Job Context:

Fresh Polymer and Paints Limited (FPPL), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), is setting up a modern polymer manufacturing facility at the Cumilla Economic Zone, Bangladesh. The facility will manufacture uPVC, cPVC, and HDPE pipes and fittings, bathroom fittings, uPVC WPC doors, uPVC foam sheets, water tanks, Teflon taps, and other polymer and paint products.

To support the development and smooth operation of the plant, MGI is looking for a dynamic and technically sound professional for the position of Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager – Production. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment, utilities, and maintenance activities while minimizing downtime and maintaining safety and operational standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute daily and monthly production activities by analyzing forecasted demand and coordinating with Shift In-Charges to ensure uninterrupted and timely production of water tanks and industrial items.

  • Oversee overall production operations by monitoring production lines, machine performance, mold usage, and manpower deployment to achieve targeted output with optimal efficiency and quality.

  • Ensure maximum utilization and preventive maintenance of machines and molds by coordinating with technical teams and following maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

  • Maintain product quality standards by conducting regular physical checks of critical parameters and coordinating with Quality Control to meet specifications and customer expectations.

  • Control rejection, wastage, and production costs by analyzing performance data, material usage, and labor efficiency to improve yield and profitability.

  • Manage manpower and shift operations by preparing duty rosters, supervising performance, and guiding production personnel to ensure smooth operations and optimal labor utilization.

  • Coordinate with Quality Control, FG Store, Pulverizer/Compound Unit, logistics, and the Plant Head to ensure seamless production flow, accurate inventory, and timely dispatch of finished goods.

  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production, reconciliation, and cost reports by ensuring proper documentation to support management review and audit compliance.

  • Enforce safety, security, and factory compliance standards by ensuring adherence to policies and regulations to prevent accidents and operational risks.

  • Develop and support KPIs, automation, expansion, savings, and annual budget plans by analyzing future requirements to drive continuous improvement and long-term factory growth.

Job Requirements

Candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in polymer or plastics manufacturing, including 3 years in a leadership role managing production operations.Strong technical knowledge of polymer processing, PVC production, mold design, machine operation, and preventive maintenance is essential.Proven skills in production planning, quality management, and process optimization are required to ensure efficient and compliant operations.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities are necessary to manage teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement.The candidate must be safety-conscious, adaptable, and strategically focused to support the plant’s successful commissioning and long-term growth in a dynamic environment.
