Associate Officer, Lab (BRAC Artificial Insemination Enterprise)

• Receive semen and formulate slide preparation, dilution, racking and freezing

• Participate in all functions of semen processing and the production of quality semen, embryo and ovum as well as keep record

• Maintain semen counting, preservation and dispatch to the respective unit

• Ensure quality egg collection and media preparation

• Keep up-date of all register such as semen straw, lab material, loss semen etc.

• Provide routinely LN2 in semen Bank / wide mouth

• Ensure strong bio-security of semen process lab as well as bull station

• Maintain hygiene and sanitation of processing lab and good laboratory practice

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

• Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the respective authority

Age, education and experience will be relaxed for the potential candidatesMust have sound knowledge on Bovine Semen process and Lab testingMust have sound technical knowledge on lab machine operation, lab testing equipment, animal semen process, semen handling and Bovine semen processMust have skill of multitaskingAble to work under pressure
