Job Context:
Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 7 institutions and 10 projects.
DAM Health Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Field Supervisor of “Continuation and Scale up of HIV Prevention and Treatment Services among Key Population in Bangladesh" (PUD), GC-7 Project funded bu Global Fund and Principle Recipient Save the Children.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain proper discretion and confidentiality to build trust with OST clients and HIV positive clients, their family and peers.
Provide counselling on ART enrolment, ART adherence, positive living of PWIDs, OST enrolment, drug adherence, retention on OST, provide counselling for HIV-Hep C coinfection management, psycho-social issues and HIV risk reduction behaviour to the clients attending OST Centre;
Proper assessment of clients for ART enrolment & OST enrolment ;
Collect behavioural & psychological data of OST clients and HIV positive clients as per need of project activity & for study purposes;
Initiate and explore psychiatric support for the eligible OST clients & HIV positive clients & consultation with Doctor.
Record keeping and maintain all kind of forms/registers, reports, files, guideline and other documents related to his/her jurisdiction. e.g. counseling, psychosocial support, behavioral data collection etc.
Assist to prepare monthly, quarterly and other periodical report as per guideline and requirement of the OST Center.
Maintain close liaison with other relevant stakeholders;
Participate different training, meeting, workshop, seminar, symposium organized by the project and other counterpart.
Extended necessary support to other team members as and when needed and or instructed by his/her supervisor and or organization.
Assess feasibility of enrolment clients according to the study criteria;
Initiate and explore psychiatric support for the eligible OST clients, consultation with Medical Office
Age At most 45 years 2 years’ experience in counselling or psychotherapy; experience in working with most at risk population, preferably with drug users;Training in the field of counselling and management of drug addicts will be an advantage.Effective inter-personal communication skill;Ability to interact professionally with a diverse population. Ability to exercise flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities. Team working, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
