Job Context:
Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of the entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development.
Health and Nutrition Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 7 institutions and 9 projects. DAM Health and Nutrition Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Nurse/Medical Assistant for "Ahsania Mission Female Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Center" at Dhaka.
Job Responsibility:
To provide client admission information;
To ensure Dope test service for the client;
To provide all support and help to patients for safe withdrawal management with the guidance of the Medical officer and other staff;
To attend to all the follow-up clients for the above-mentioned services;
To regularly communicate with medical officers about psychiatric and other patient`s difficulties;
To ensure pathological test support for the patient;
To manage RTI/STI and other relevant services;
To provide RTI/STI/FP-related information to clients;
To refer complicated cases to a Medical Officer with the help of Paramedics;
To refer clients to outside facilities for surgical contraception; To update the Daily Medicine Sheet;
To maintain daily routine checkups for BP, Pulse, and Weight;
To maintain all medical instruments;
To maintain relevant/ medical equipment/ medicine inventory;
To assist in the preparation of monthly clinical and progress reports;
To keep records and maintain relevant forms and formats;
To maintain all Ethics of the center.
To prepare & submit the requisition for medicine Supplies to the respective authority.
To maintain quality service by following the organization`s standards;
To must abide by the Safe Guarding Policy including Gender, PSHEA, Child Protection and Anti Harassment Policy, Code of Conduct, and other policies of DAM consciously;
To perform any other task from time to time given by the authority.
Age At most 45 yearsOnly Female Freshers are encourage to apply.1 year of professional experience in the Health and Nutrition sector or the broader Development Sector.Prior experience in Drug Treatment, HIV Prevention, or implementation of the Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) will be considered an advantage.Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of clinical procedures, patient care, infection prevention and control (IPC), medication administration, patient monitoring, medical documentation, and the maintenance of clinical standards and protocols.Willingness to work from the office on a shift-duty schedule.Proficient in the use of basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and email.Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with excellent communication, report writing, presentation, and stakeholder coordination/negotiation abilities.Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
