Jamuna Life Insurance Company Limited is looking for a qualified and competent medical professional for the position of Medical Consultant on a part-time consultancy basis.
Job Nature:
PART-TIME / CONSULTANCY BASIS:
The Medical Consultant will be required to attend the Company`s Head Office one fixed day per week for approximately 3 hours. The specific day and working hours will be determined by the Company.
Job Location: Head Office, Motijheel, Dhaka-1000
Job Context:
The Medical Consultant will provide professional medical advice and recommendations to support the Company`s Life Insurance Underwriting, Individual Claims, Group Claims and other medical-related activities in accordance with the Company`s policies, guidelines and applicable rules.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide professional medical opinion and recommendations regarding Life Insurance Underwriting and medical risk assessment in accordance with the Company`s underwriting policies and guidelines.
Provide medical opinion and recommendations regarding Individual Life Insurance Claims in accordance with the Company`s policies and procedures.
Review and provide medical assessment/opinion on Group Insurance Claims and related medical documents.
Provide professional medical advice on various medical issues arising in the Company`s insurance operations.
Assist the concerned departments in making appropriate decisions on underwriting and claims matters involving medical issues.
Examine and assess medical information submitted by policyholders, claimants and other relevant parties, where necessary.
Perform any other medical-related duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.
Experience Requirements:Experience in Life Insurance Underwriting and/or Claims will be preferred.Candidates having experience in medical assessment, insurance medicine, clinical practice or a relevant field will be given preference.Additional Requirements:Strong professional judgment and analytical ability.Ability to review and interpret medical reports and documents.Good understanding of medical risk assessment and claims-related medical issues.Good communication and interpersonal skills.
