Job Description

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

In order to successfully implement the child protection activities in the field of HCMP, the Project Officer (Computer Trainer, Computer & Social Cohesion and Resilience) is responsible in conducting session on computer, social cohesion & resilience and other Child Protection training. This position is responsible for need base survey, facilitation, designing team plan, support in strengthening the capacity of the field assistant maintaining the liaison with different sector of the Humanitarian Crisis Management Program and others Non-Government & Government organizations.

  • Prepare and implement daily lesson plans in line with module timelines and learning objectives.

  • Promote social cohesion, life skills, and resilience among adolescents through structured sessions and activities.

  • Deliver computer training sessions to adolescents in line with the approved curriculum, training manual, and competency standards

  • Set up and manage computer session room, ensuring all equipment, software, and training materials are ready and functional.

  • Guide learners in the safe and proper use of computers, devices, and accessories.

  • Maintain individual learner records, including attendance, performance, and skill assessments.

  • Conduct basic maintenance and coordinate for technical support when required.

  • Conduct home visits to ensure learner attendance and engagement when necessary.

  • Facilitate sessions on social harmony, conflict sensitivity, and community engagement.

  • Integrate life skills and positive behavioral messages into computer training sessions where appropriate.

  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting as per project and donor requirements.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the management in line with project objectives.

  • Facilitate social cohesion and resilience sessions to promote mutual respect, tolerance, teamwork, inclusion, and peaceful coexistence among adolescents.

  • Ensure all child protection initiatives align with BRAC’s policies and procedures.

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
