Project Brief:

The "Rapid Access to Diagnostics to Accelerate the Response to TB" (RADxAR) initiative is a project implemented by BRAC with support of the Aurum Institute. The project aims to accelerate equitable access to near point-of-care (nPOC/Mini Dock) tuberculosis diagnostics for high-risk, underprivileged, and remote populations. Its core objectives and activities include rapidly detecting active TB cases, bringing modern testing services to doorsteps via TB camps, slums, readymade garment (RMG) zones, and contact investigations, utilizing ultra-portable devices, supporting Bangladesh`s National Strategic Plan for TB Control to bridge national case detection gaps, and engaging stakeholders through national and district coordination, public-private hospital orientations, and laboratory technologist capacity building.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and effective implementation of near Point-of-Care (nPOC) molecular testing through MiniDock platform to expand access to molecular TB diagnosis and to ensure reaching the project objectives and targets within timeline. Work closely with the National Tuberculosis Control Programme (NTP) and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and quality implementation of nPOC services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure planning, budgeting, implementation, and monitoring of nPOC testing through MiniDock platform as per approved work plan and timeline.

• Maintain close coordination and liaison with NTP and other relevant stakeholders for smooth implementation of nPOC diagnostic services.

• Ensure implementation of relevant guidelines, SOPs, testing algorithms, recording and reporting tools for nPOC services according to national guidelines.

• Prepare and/or update project proposals/amendments/extensions/progress/reports and other related documents.

• Monitor nPOC testing performance, device utilization, functionality, and referral/linkage of patients for further testing and appropriate care.

• Conduct regular monitoring and supportive supervision to ensure quality implementation and achievement of project targets.

• Identify training needs and build capacity of Medical Technologists and other relevant personnel under the guidance of NTP.

• Coordinate timely availability of testing kits, consumables, and other required supplies for uninterrupted nPOC services.

• Ensure proper recording-reporting, timely collection and analysis of nPOC testing related data and identify implementation gaps for necessary corrective actions.

• Practice and promote organization’s gender policy and support implementation of gender equality and women empowerment at all levels.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Strong working knowledge of strategy formulation, SOP development, implementation planning, national TB control programs, and the broader Bangladesh health system.Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams while effectively prioritizing tasks and managing competing deadlines.Proven analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills to evaluate health program performance and resolve complex operational challenges.Advanced interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of building and maintaining effective relationships across diverse health sector stakeholders.Strong risk management, conflict resolution, and problem-solving capabilities paired with sound judgment and emotional resilience.Deep commitment to organizational vision, mission, and core values, with the adaptability to navigate evolving program priorities.Experience Requirements: Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in public health, with a preference for at least 3 years in a managerial role within the health sector.
