National Bank PLC is looking for a dynamic, analytical, and risk-focused professional to lead its Credit Risk Management Division, with specialized expertise in Credit Appraisal, Portfolio Risk Assessment, and Regulatory Compliance. The selected candidate will lead the Bank's end-to-end credit risk evaluation process, provide independent risk opinions on credit proposals, and drive key risk management initiatives — including credit risk rating, portfolio stress testing, and early warning monitoring — to safeguard asset quality and align credit risk strategy with the Bank's long-term business objectives, while ensuring strict adherence to Bangladesh Bank guidelines and internal credit policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Eligibility CriteriaMinimum 20 years of banking experience, with at least 10 years in a senior credit risk management or credit approval role within a scheduled bank or financial institution.Demonstrated experience in corporate credit appraisal, credit risk rating, portfolio management and regulatory reporting.Prior experience as Head of Credit Risk, Chief Credit Officer or equivalent senior position preferred.Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong command of credit analysis, financial statement analysis, and industry/sector risk assessment.Thorough knowledge of Bangladesh Bank's credit risk grading (CRG), loan classification and provisioning guidelines, and Basel III capital adequacy framework.Excellent judgment, integrity and ability to provide independent, objective risk opinions under commercial pressure.Strong leadership, team management and cross-functional coordination skills.Effective communication skills for presenting complex credit risk matters to senior management and the Board.
