Job Description

A first generation leading private commercial bank is seeking for an experienced and visionary banking professional for the position of Head of Retail Banking to lead its Retail Banking Division. The incumbent will provide strategic, business, and operational leadership to drive sustainable growth, profitability, customer experience, digital transformation, and sound portfolio quality across the Bank’s retail assets and liabilities.

Job Grade: Senior Vice President/Executive Vice President

Job Location: Head Office, Dhaka

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Formulate and execute the Bank’s Retail Banking strategy in alignment with overall business objectives, market opportunities, and regulatory requirements.
Lead the growth and profitability of retail assets and liabilities, including consumer loans, home loans, deposits, cards, and other retail banking products and services.
Identify customer needs, review and formulate new retail products of the bank accordingly
Strengthen retail distribution and branch productivity by setting business targets, monitoring performance, and driving effective execution across the Bank’s network.
Monitor retail business performance through MIS, budgeting, profitability analysis, cost optimization, and strategic planning, and take appropriate corrective measures.
Represent the Bank in senior management forums and maintain effective relationships with regulators, industry stakeholders, business partners, and other key external stakeholders.
Ensure effective governance and compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations, internal policies, approved risk parameters, and applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

Age At most 52 years Minimum 12 years of experience, with substantial and relevant exposure in Retail Banking, with experience in a leadership capacity within a private commercial bank or NBFI. The experience requirement may be relaxed for exceptionally qualified candidates.Strong expertise in retail banking products, consumer finance, liability business, cards, branch distribution, sales management, and portfolio management.Proven track record of designing retail banking products, driving retail business growth, profitability, customer acquisition, deposit mobilization, consumer lending, cards, and portfolio expansion while maintaining sound asset quality.Strong understanding of digital banking, digital channels, process automation, customer experience, and technology-enabled retail solutions.Proven leadership capability with the ability to lead, develop, motivate, and manage large teams and drive performance across branches and business units.Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, analytical and decision-making skills.Minimum Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Banking, or related discipline is preferred with no third division.
