Assistant Technician, P&O, BRAC Health Programme (BHP) (Project Staff)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the Senior Technician in fabricating orthotic and prosthetic appliances for patients by newer technologies like Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, Silicon,

• Take patient casts and perform modifications under supervision to prepare appropriate devices.

• Set alignment for initial trial fittings and implement necessary adjustments.

• Perform final finishing of appliances after corrections

• Provide patients with clear guidelines for the use and maintenance of appliances.

• • Maintain and properly operate all machinery and tools used in the workshop.

• Taking the accurate measurement and prepare Pressure garments for the burn victim patient.

• Minimize material wastage and promote efficient use of resources.

• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance the quality of products.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Age At least 18 years Hands-on experience in workshop practices preferred.Skilled in prepare pressure garmentsAttention to detail and precision in technical work.Strong manual dexterity and craftsmanship.Empathy and patient-centered care approach.
