Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for providing technical assistant for designing, adapting, and ensuring quality implementation of play-based learning curricula and capacity development systems in Cox’s Bazar host communities. The role will ensure and strengthening the capacity of facilitators (Play Leaders/Adolescent Leaders), caregivers, stakeholders, field staff to deliver effective, learner-centred education across Play Labs, transition support, Madrasah interventions and adolescent learning pathways (community and Future ready Club) at upazila level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support design and development of teaching learning materials, training frameworks, modules, manuals, teacher’s guide, assessment tools, and learning resources aligned with programme objectives for play labs, Madrasahs and Adolescent pathways.

  • Upazila level capacity development initiatives for facilitators (play leaders, Adolescent leader), primary school teachers, madrasah teachers, managing committee members, government officials, field staff and other stakeholders through structured training, coaching, mentoring, and refresher training cycles.

  • Conducting regular field visits, classroom observations, and learning reviews in coordination with the Operations team to ensure quality implementation and feedback loops.

  • Analysing learning data, assessment results, and field evidence to improve curriculum effectiveness, teaching quality, and learner outcomes.

  • Collaborating closely with Operations, MEAL, Safeguarding, ICT, and Communications teams to ensure integrated and context-responsive programme delivery.

  • Ensure all capacity building initiatives are inclusive and accessible for diverse learning needs, especially leaners with SEND.

  • Provide technical guidance to play leaders, adolescent leaders, madrasah teacher and staff for quality implementation of project activities.

  • Upazila level coordination with Government stakeholders (UNO, TEO, USEO, UAS, URC etc), local administration, NGOs, communities and different stakeholders as required.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge on Early Childhood Development, play-based learning, adult learning principles, training methodologies, safeguarding, inclusion (SEND), National education system, Madrasah education.SKILLS: Training design and facilitation, curriculum and material development, coaching and mentoring, communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagementCOMPETENCIES: Strong facilitation skills, technical expertise, adaptability, cultural sensitivity, managing timelines, oral and written fluency in both Bangla and English, handling critical issues with relevant stakeholders and strong computer proficiency
