Job Description

RECRUITMENT OF HEAD OF CASH MANAGEMENT

Efficient cash management is essential to uninterrupted branch service, liquidity discipline and operational control across the Bank`s network. Jamuna Bank PLC. is seeking an experienced Head of Cash Management to optimize cash positioning, distribution and control across branches, vaults, ATMs/CRMs and other cash delivery points while reducing idle cash and operational risk

The position carries a direct mandate for cash availability, security, liquidity efficiency and robust reconciliation across the network.

Job Context

The Head of Cash Management will lead the Bank`s cash planning and distribution framework, balancing customer-service requirements with security, liquidity efficiency, reconciliation discipline and strong operational controls.

Responsibilities

Cash Planning: Develop bank-wide cash forecasting, positioning, branch/vault limit and contingency arrangements based on transaction patterns and service requirements.
Distribution & Availability: Ensure timely distribution, replenishment and balancing of cash across branches, ATMs/CRMs and centralized cash points.
Control & Security: Strengthen controls over vault operations, cash-in-transit, teller activities, counterfeit detection, insurance, physical security and reconciliation.
Efficiency: Monitor shortages, excesses, idle cash, logistics cost, operational losses and exceptions and initiate corrective action.
Coordination & Reporting: Work closely with Treasury, Operations, Branch Banking, Security, Finance and service providers and maintain timely management information on cash productivity and risk.

Job Requirements

Hands-on experience designing or strengthening a centralized cash-management framework across a sizeable branch network will be preferred.Skill RequirementCash forecasting, vault and branch cash operations, ATM/CRM replenishment and reconciliation.Strong operational-control, physical-security and loss-prevention orientation.Ability to use MIS and process improvement to optimize cash productivity and service continuity.Experience RequirementMinimum 20 years' relevant experience with at least 1.5 years as EVP or equivalent.Substantial experience in branch operations, cash operations, centralized cash management, treasury/operations control or closely related areas is essential.Candidates currently serving as Head of Cash Management, or in an equivalent role, with 2-3 years of experience in that capacity will be given preferenceKey RequirementsStrong academic record with no 3rd division/class or equivalent at any academic level.Relevant senior banking experience as per position requirementsAge and experience may be relaxed for exceptionally qualified candidates.Professional credentials such as CFA, FRM, CAMS, FCA/ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CA, ACI and similar certifications will be considered as strong added advantage
