UCB is seeking Business Intelligence & Analytics Officers to support business intelligence and analytics functions across the Bank. These officers will serve as the analytical backbone of the functional units to which they are assigned, transforming raw data into meaningful insights, developing dashboards and reports, and enabling data-driven decision-making aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, integrate, validate, and analyze business data from assigned and relevant Bank divisions, ensuring data quality, integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with governance standards.
Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards, MIS reports, and interactive visualizations using BI and analytics tools.
Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable analytical solutions and reporting frameworks.
Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports, dashboards, presentations, and regulatory submissions, as applicable.
Monitor KPIs and perform trend, variance, root-cause, forecasting, predictive, and scenario analyses to support decision-making.
Identify opportunities to improve business performance, operational efficiency, strategic planning, budgeting, and management initiatives through data-driven insights.
Document data sources, business rules, reporting logic, and dashboard structures to support governance, audits, and knowledge sharing.
Continuously enhance reporting frameworks by adopting emerging BI tools, analytics techniques, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Mangement Information Systems, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, MIS, or a similar analytical role. Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry, with sound knowledge of banking operations, products, and regulatory requirements, will be an added advantage.
Professional certification in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Data Visualization, or related fields (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Google Data Analytics) will be preferred.
Required Skills
Proficiency in Business Intelligence and data visualization tools, including Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Advanced Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, Power Query, advanced formulas, charts, and basic VBA/macros).
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex business, banking, and financial data and generate actionable insights for data-driven decision-making.
Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, information security, and confidentiality in handling business and customer information.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong organizational, time management, and professional ethics, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
