Job Description

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

This position serves as the technical focal point for Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) support to the Livelihood Sector under the FCDO Fund, under the supervision of the Sector KM Focal. The role ensures effective M&E system design, strengthens reporting and data management processes, and supports research, evaluation, and learning activities to enable quality monitoring of programme performance across FCDO Project Partners align with BRAC HCMP.

Programme and MEAL System Development:

  • Support to development of log frames, IPTT for the new projects and ensure that the programmes under FCDO fund have MEAL framework in line with BRAC HCMP MEAL strategy

  • Support to develop the emergency response programme monitoring and implements Humanitarian Response master log frame/results framework;

Monitoring:

  • Support to develop Quality Benchmarks for the FCDO Funded Project and roll out through context-appropriate that support the improved quality of programming;

  • Support partner NGOs MEAL personnel/ program Person to bring together data and findings from projects to form a coherent basis for analysis and lessons learned to inform programme design;

Accountability:

  • Support to ensures that MEAL and other program staff have a clear understanding about program accountability to communities through training and coaching

  • Support to enhances the Accountability system in Rohingya Response so that it is more comprehensive, context-appropriate, and action-oriented (in terms of both supporting improved programming and closing the feedback loop)

Research, Evaluation & Learning:

  • Support Needs Assessments, FGD and KII for Program Quality supprot and secrtors in CXB office and ensure all projects in the FSSL sector to determine programme impact.

  • Ensures project findings, learnings from monitoring activities, and summative analysis of Complaint Response Mechanism data and any relevant project updates are communicated in an accessible way (according to CHS-Core Humanitarian Standard)

  • Oversee data collection and MIS systems to ensure accurate, timely, and standards-compliant reporting of project results, sectoral impact, and adherence to the Common Humanitarian Standard for effective stakeholder communication.

Capacity Building for Knowledge Management:

  • Build the capacity of Partner Organizations and staff on knowledge management through training, workshops, and practical guidance on documentation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration tools.

  • Organize training sessions and workshops to help staff at all levels improve their KM skills, including document management, knowledge sharing, and collaboration tools align with the MEAL framework of BRAC HCMP

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
