Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Unit Head - Retail Collection to lead and manage the Retail Collection function. The incumbent will be responsible for developing collection strategies, improving portfolio quality, minimizing delinquency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a high-performing collections team to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the Retail Collection strategy aligned with the bank's risk management framework.
Lead end-to-end collection and recovery activities across retail lending products, including personal loans, auto loans, credit cards, and other retail assets.
Monitor portfolio performance, delinquency trends, roll rates, and recovery metrics, and implement corrective actions.
Drive the achievement of collection targets while maintaining customer-centric collection practices.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.
Lead, coach, and develop collection managers and field teams to improve productivity and performance.
Collaborate with Risk Management, Legal, Operations, Branch Banking, and Business Units to strengthen recovery initiatives.
Review and optimize collection policies, SOPs, and operational processes.
Prepare and present portfolio performance reports and collection MIS to senior management.
Identify opportunities for process automation and digital collection initiatives.
Manage external collection agencies, legal recovery partners, and other stakeholders where applicable.

Job Requirements

Minimum 10 - 15 years of Banking/NBFI experience, with at least 5 years in Retail Collection, Recovery, or Retail Credit Risk.Professional certifications in Banking, Credit, Risk Management, or Collections will be an added advantageExperience in leading large collection teams within a commercial bank.Experience in portfolio analytics, recovery strategy, and regulatory compliance.Strong understanding of retail lending products and collection lifecycle.
