Job Purpose:

The Senior Officer, Data Warehouse and Reporting is responsible for maintaining and supporting data warehouse systems, servers, and reporting solutions for the Microfinance Programme. The role ensures accurate, secure, and timely data processing through effective system administration, database optimization, and operational support. The incumbent collaborates with stakeholders to ensure reliable technology services and business reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and operate data warehouse systems and reporting solutions following approved procedures.
• Perform server administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair to ensure system availability.
• Monitor server and database performance and resolve operational issues proactively.
• Optimize SQL queries and manage databases for efficient data processing and reporting.
• Execute system backups and recovery activities to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Deliver accurate and timely MIS reports to meet stakeholder requirements.
• Maintain system security, compliance, and operational documentation.
• Support cross-functional projects and contribute to system improvements.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Additional Job Requirements:Basic knowledge of data warehouse concepts, database management, and server operations.Hands-on experience with SQL/ PGSQL for data extraction, analysis, and report generation.Ability to analyze large datasets while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and other standard office applications; knowledge of BI tools will be an added advantage.Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data warehouse operations, server administration, database management, and MIS reporting, with the ability to handle large volumes of data.
