Job Purpose: The Deputy Manager, Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through effective manual and automated testing. The role supports timely delivery of high-quality digital solutions by validating programme requirements, identifying defects, managing test automation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements and prepare test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Execute functional, regression, API, UAT, performance, and security testing activities.
  • Validate software functionality against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirement reviews, and sprint planning sessions.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Execute automated test suites and investigate test failures.
  • Identify opportunities to increase test automation coverage and efficiency.
  • Perform API, cross-browser, compatibility, and mobile application testing.
  • Document, track, and manage defects through to resolution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure quality standards and successful release delivery

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Job Requirements

Additional Job Requirements:Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum environments, Software Development, and Testing Life Cycles.Testing Methodologies: Strong grasp of diverse testing types (Functional, Regression, E2E, UAT) and test case design techniques (Boundary Value, Decision Tables).Solid understanding of Risk-Based Testing, API architectures (REST/SOAP), and basic Performance Testing (Load/Stress).Hands-on experience testing web, responsive, and mobile (iOS/Android) applications across major browsers and devices.Proficient in validating API payloads, status codes, and authentication using tools like Postman or REST Assured.Practical experience executing manual tests and developing automated scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or Playwright.Sharp attention to detail with a knack for isolating, documenting, and troubleshooting complex bugs.Excellent communicator who works seamlessly with developers and stakeholders to report findings and drive resolutions.Experience Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA), spanning manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and API-based applications.
