Officer-Card Operations (JO to SO)

Card Settlement:

• Manage end-to-end settlement of Debit, Credit, and Prepaid Card transactions under Visa, NPSB, Q-Cash, and other payment schemes.

• Ensure timely settlement of domestic and international card transactions and resolve settlement exceptions within prescribed timelines.

• Coordinate with member banks, payment schemes, correspondent banks, and other partners regarding settlement-related issues.

• Monitor settlement funding requirements and maintain adequate balances in settlement accounts.

• Oversee settlement activities for digital and alternative payment channels, including Internet Banking, mobile top-up, and other electronic payment services.

• Supervise chargeback and dispute settlements, including Visa, ATM, IBFT, and Mobile Financial Service transactions.

Card Reconciliation:
• Supervise daily reconciliation of all card-related General Ledger (GL) accounts and settlement accounts maintained with partner and correspondent banks.

• Ensure reconciliation between the Core Banking System (CBS), Card Management System (CMS), and accounting records.

• Resolve unreconciled entries, settlement discrepancies, and aged outstanding items within established timelines.

• Monitor reconciliation of Credit Card and Prepaid Card transactions, including fees, adjustments, reversals, and account balances.

• Prepare MIS, and management reports relating to settlements, reconciliations, and card business performance.

• Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations, payment scheme rules, internal policies, and established operational control procedures while leading the team and supporting process improvements.
