BRAC is an international development organization founded in Bangladesh that partners with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty globally to create sustainable opportunities to realize potential.
BRAC is in the process of implementing a 36 months project for "Unlocking Financial Solutions for Youth Enterprise Development"/ "Access to Capital and Entrepreneurial Skills for Success"
in collaboration with Silatech (صلتك). The proposed "ACCESS" project aims to tackle the issue of limited access to conventional financial resources for youth (aged 18-35) entrepreneurs in Bangladesh who aspire to develop or expand their income-generating ventures. In collaboration with Silatech, BRAC will extend loans to these young entrepreneurs to improve the economic well-being of both the youths and their households. Additionally, the project will provide financial literacy, entrepreneurship skills training, and mentorship support to young entrepreneurs to enhance their ventures' sustainability. The project is scheduled to conclude in September 2026.
Major Responsibilities
● Conduct market and community surveys in the designated area for identifying and recruiting potential clients for entrepreneurship training programs.
● Ensure logistical setup including the renting and set up of office and training rooms and procurement of items such as furniture required for the training delivery.
● Identify and recruit mentors from diverse backgrounds and connect them with the entrepreneurship training participants.
● Assist clients in developing and setting up their businesses including offering guidance on basic regulatory requirements, i.e., trade license, bank accounts etc. for business operations.
● Assist entrepreneurship training graduates in becoming “loan ready” by ensuring they meet the eligibility criteria to qualify for and manage a loan.
●Practice, promote, and apply the safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in all actions.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation.
Practice, promote, and endorse safeguarding policies among team members and ensure safeguarding standards are maintained in all activities.
Follow safeguarding reporting procedures in case of any reportable incident and encourage others to do the same.
Bachelor’s degree (Pass/ Honors) in any discipline.At least 1 year of work experience in either of the following sectors is essential: microfinance/ microcredit and entrepreneurship/ business development.
