Job Description

Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing, and production usage.
Perform backup as per the backup policy. Check out the space on disk or tape before performing backup. Verify the status of daily scheduled jobs/daily backups in the morning very first hour. Also verify the success of archive log backups, based on the backup interval.
Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases.
Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances.
Install new versions of the Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server RDBMS and its tools and any other tools that access the Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server database.
Plans and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server database.
Controls migrations of programs, database changes, reference data changes and menu changes through the development life cycle.
Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server Databases.
Performs database re-organizations as required to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database.
Provides technical support to application development teams. This is usually in the form of a help desk.
Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools.
Create new database users as required.
Design and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and views.
Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.
Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
Verify and check DC DR Database sync and make snapshot database for testing or dummy process.
Regularly check & preserve backup copy of daily/weekly/Monthly scheduled or manually backup data.
Verify the accuracy of the DR mechanism by performing a database switch over test. This can be done once in six months based on the business requirements.
Any other work / responsibility as and when assigned by the supervisor or Management of the Bank

Age At least 25 years Candidates bearing credit related professional qualification will be preferable.Fresh Candidates do not need to apply.Candidates having break of service do not need to apply.Must have good expertise on Microsoft Officer as well as experience of handling core banking system and related business intelligence.Unquestioned commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making.Must have customer focused attitude.
