The Deputy Head of SME & Agri Banking Division will support the Head of SME Agri Banking Division in driving business growth, portfolio quality, profitability, and strategic initiatives across the SME Banking Division. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing SME business strategies, managing key relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
Assist in formulating and executing SME & Agri business strategies aligned with the Bank’s objectives.
Drive growth in SME & Agri loans, Transactional deposits, trade business, and fee-based income.
Monitor portfolio performance and ensure asset quality standards are maintained.
Identify new business opportunities, new cluster, enhance strong foot print in digital financing & process automation and market segments to expand the SME customer base.
Support credit assessment and risk management processes for SME & Agri lending.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations and internal policies.
Lead, mentor, and develop SME & Agri business teams to achieve business targets.
Coordinate with Credit Risk Management, Credit Administration, Group Legal Division, Operations, Group Finance, ICC and Branch Banking teams for smooth business execution.
Monitor business performance and prepare management reports and MIS.
Maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and business partners.
Assist in enhancing the visibility of the activities of the division in different platform by adopting different initiative
Maintain strong liaison with Bangladesh bank, SME Foundation & other stakeholders to initiate different projects and mobilizing refinance / pre-finance etc.
Develop and implement various initiatives to attract and engage customers across different sectors.
Manage and promote refinancing schemes in line with business and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and maintain liaison with Bangladesh Bank regarding regulatory matters, refinancing programs, and other collaborative initiatives.
Minimum 12 years of banking experience with minimum 10 years exposure to SME Banking.Strong knowledge of SME & Agri lending, credit risk assessment, and regulatory requirements.CompetenciesLeadership and people management skills.Strategic thinking and business acumen.Strong analytical and decision-making ability.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Sound understanding of SME & Agri products, credit processes, regulation and market dynamics.
