Job Description

Job Context

Managing Corporate portfolio of bank’s Special Asset Management Department through handle and recovery of non-performing loans.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and execute loan recovery strategies to minimize Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) of Corporate segment of the Bank and optimize recovery outcomes.

Regularly monitor and manage Non-Performing Loans, categorizing them based on risk levels and taking necessary actions to reduce delinquency.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations, legal requirements and internal policies related to loan recovery and write-offs.
Supervise recovery processes, guiding recovery officers to ensure timely follow-ups and effective recovery techniques.
Collaborate with legal teams to initiate and oversee legal proceedings, including lawsuits, auctions or other legal actions against defaulters.
Analyze recovery performance, monitor trends and provide senior management with data-driven reports and recommendations for improvement.
Oversee the valuation, maintenance and disposal of collateral assets taken against defaulted loans.
Develop and implement early warning systems to identify potential defaulters in advance and take preventive actions.
Lead, train and motivate recovery teams to improve their skills, performance and overall success in loan recovery.
Preparation of recovery MIS, placement of memorandum to the Board and Management.

Job Requirements

Minimum 15 years of experience in any reputed Bank with at least 5 years of loan recovery experience.Effective negotiation & problem-solving abilities.Effective time mapping to maximize outcome.Excellent interpersonal and leadership skill.Strong ethics and reliability.Strict adherence to AML / Compliance, and Central Bank Guidelines in line with the banks policy.Excellent presentation skill.
