Job Summary
The Senior Physics Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, Cambridge-aligned Physics lessons to students. The role requires an experienced, subject-specialist educator who can inspire students, build deep conceptual understanding, lead practical laboratory sessions, and drive strong academic outcomes. The Senior Physics Teacher is also expected to mentor junior science staff, contribute to curriculum development, support examination preparation, and uphold the highest standards of teaching and professional conduct within the institution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Age At least 25 yearsOnly Male Strong command of spoken and written English.Minimum 6 years of proven experience teaching Physics at the secondary or A-Level stage, preferably within a Cambridge-affiliated institution.Demonstrated track record of strong student outcomes in Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Physics examinations.Hands-on experience in designing and supervising Physics practical sessions in line with Cambridge assessment requirements.Prior experience in curriculum development, academic mentoring, or departmental coordination is a significant advantage.Deep subject-matter expertise in Physics across the Cambridge curriculum, with the ability to make complex concepts engaging and accessible.Strong classroom management, student motivation, and differentiated instruction skills.Proficiency in practical laboratory instruction and safety management.An analytical approach to tracking and improving student performance outcomes.Mentoring, coaching, and leadership capability within a science department setting.Effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues; familiarity with digital teaching tools is an advantage.
