Job Description

Plant Operations Management:

  • Ensure smooth and efficient daily operations of the block manufacturing plant.

  • Monitor production schedules, targets, and outputs to meet business demands.

  • Optimize machinery utilization and minimize downtime.

Production Planning & Quality Control:

  • Supervise and coordinate production activities to achieve desired volume, quality, and cost targets.

  • Ensure adherence to product quality standards (ISO/ASTM/BDS or internal benchmarks). Implement and monitor quality control procedures and testing.

Manpower & Team Leadership:

  • Lead and supervise the plant workforce including supervisors, machine operators, technicians, and helpers.

  • Ensure adequate staffing, shift planning, and staff motivation.

  • Identify training needs and support skill development of plant personnel.

Maintenance & Safety:

  • Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of all machinery and equipment.

  • Ensure plant operations comply with workplace safety, fire safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely repairs and servicing.

Inventory & Resource Management:

  • Monitor raw material (cement, sand, aggregates, admixtures) stock levels and usage.

  • Coordinate with procurement for timely material availability.

  • Maintain minimum wastage of raw materials and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production and performance reports to senior management.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal policies.

Process Improvement & Innovation:

  • Introduce lean manufacturing practices to improve productivity and reduce cost.

  • Suggest improvements in plant layout, processes, and technology for better efficiency.

  • Keep abreast of the latest trends in block plant technologies and industry best practices.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace.

  • Conduct regular safety training and drills for all plant employees. 

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments such as sales, logistics, and planning to align production with market needs.

  • Participate in strategic planning and development of new products or technologies.

Job Requirements

Age 35 to 55 yearsOnly Male Skills Required: Mechanical Engineering, mechanical maintenance, Strong people management skills
