Job Description

Job Context

ONE Bank PLC is looking for competent, detail-oriented and customer-focused banking professionals to join its branch network as Cash Officer. The incumbent will be the front-line custodian of the branch`s cash operations handling day-to-day cash receipts and payments, vault and cash-limit management and counter-level customer service while ensuring full compliance with Bangladesh Bank`s cash management, currency handling and AML/CFT guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

Verify customer signatures, account details, documents and authorizations before processing transactions.
Receive and pay cash accurately at the counter ensuring correct denominations and process related account transactions (deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, bill/utility collections), posting them in the core banking system on a real-time basis.
Count, sort and verify banknotes/coins including identification of counterfeit or mutilated notes in compliance with Bangladesh Bank`s note-sorting and currency management guidelines.
Forecast daily cash requirements and ensure adequate, denomination-wise cash availability at the counter.
Maintain the cash-in-till within Bangladesh Bank`s and the Bank`s approved holding limits and arrange timely replenishment from/remittance to the currency chest or feeding branch as required.
Ensure secure vault operations under joint/dual custody including holding the vault key and acting in the absence of the Cash In-Charge and maintain accurate cash books, registers and end-of-day reconciliation/report-checking.
Manage ATM booth operations at the branch including cash loading, unloading and reconciliation.
Investigate and promptly report cash discrepancies, counterfeit notes, posting errors and reconciliation issues.
Support achievement of branch financial and business targets (deposits, loan/card referrals, new account opening or any other) as assigned by branch management.
Identify and report cash transactions requiring enhanced scrutiny (e.g., CTR/STR) in line with the Bank`s AML/CFT policy and BFIU circulars.
Maintain strict confidentiality of customer and bank information and extend full cooperation during periodic cash audits/surprise verification by Internal Control & Compliance and Bangladesh Bank inspection teams.
Assist in other branch operational activities as assigned by branch management.

Job Requirements

Age At most 40 years Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in cash management/teller operations in a bank with demonstrated sound knowledge of Bangladesh Bank`s cash management and AML/CFT guidelines.Sound working knowledge of currency sorting, counterfeit/mutilated note detection and Bangladesh Bank`s cash management guidelines.Working knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and BFIU circulars as applicable to cash transactions.High level of integrity, numerical accuracy and attention to detail; ability to work under pressure during peak banking hours.Pleasant personality with strong interpersonal and customer service skills; effective communication in Bangla and English.Working knowledge of core banking software and MS Office applications.Willingness to work at any branch/sub-branch of ONE Bank PLC across Bangladesh.
