Core Banking IT Support Specialist - GB, Credit & Trade Finance (SO-FAVP)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 application and functional support for Core Banking System (CBS), particularly in General Banking, Credit, and Trade Finance modules.

• Monitor and resolve day-to-day CBS application issues raised by branches, Head Office units, and business users.

• Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and ensure timely resolution in accordance with defined SLA and IT service management practices.

• Investigate transaction failures, posting errors, batch/EOD issues, interface failures, and data inconsistencies.

• Coordinate with CBS vendors, development teams, database teams, infrastructure teams, and third-party solution providers for issue resolution.

• Support EOD/BOD, month-end, year-end, and critical banking operations.

• Monitor interfaces between CBS and other banking applications, including Payment Systems, AML, Treasury, Card, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Regulatory Reporting, and other integrated systems.

• Assist in CBS parameter/configuration changes, product setup, user access, workflow, and functional configuration, subject to approved change management procedures.

• Participate in UAT, regression testing, patch testing, version upgrades, and new module implementation.

• Prepare incident reports, root-cause analysis (RCA), functional documentation, and operational guidelines.

• Ensure compliance with the Bank's IT policies, information security controls, audit requirements, and Bangladesh Bank regulations.

• Provide technical guidance and support to branches and business users during critical incidents.

• Maintain proper documentation of recurring issues, solutions, FAQs, and knowledge-base materials.

Required Qualifications

• 4-10 years of relevant experience in Core Banking application support, preferably in a commercial bank in Bangladesh.

• Strong practical knowledge of Core Banking System (CBS) and banking operations.

• Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: General Banking, Credit/Loan, Trade Finance.

• Strong understanding of banking products, processes, transaction flows, and operational dependencies.

• Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts for investigation and troubleshooting.

• Understanding of API, web services, system integration, middleware, and application interfaces will be an advantage.

• Experience in incident management, problem management, change management, and production support.

• Ability to work effectively during EOD/BOD, month-end, year-end, and other critical operational windows.
