Fabrication Inspection Supervisor (Ministry of Defense, Saudi Arabia)

Quality Assurance & Inspection

• Conduct visual and physical inspections of incoming raw materials, in-progress assemblies, and finished products to prevent defects.
• Verify that welding processes, joint fit-ups, and dimensional alignments conform to industry codes (e.g., ASME, AWS) and drawing tolerances.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), track root-cause analyses, and oversee necessary rework.

Team Supervision & Production

• Assign daily tasks, schedule fabrication sequences, and manage workforce allocations to meet tight project timelines.
• Train welders and fitters, monitor their daily performance, and assist in welder qualification testing.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to welding (e.g., distortion, pre-heat/post-heat), cutting, and material forming.

Safety & Documentation

• Enforce strict safety protocols, including hot-work permits, lifting/rigging operations, and proper use of PPE.
• Maintain highly accurate quality records, weld logs, and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors, project managers, and clients to verify verifiable quality and progress.
