Samaj Kalyan O Unnayan Shangstha (SKUS) is a women-headed, non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization established in 1995 with a mission to improve the socio-economic conditions of marginalized and vulnerable populations in Bangladesh. Over the years, SKUS has built a reputation as a rights-based organization advocating for the empowerment of the underprivileged communities. The organization is registered with multiple national authorities, including the NGO Affairs Bureau, and holds consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). SKUS has been active in forging partnerships with government, national, and international development agencies and other NGOs, demonstrating its capacity to implement large-scale, multifaceted development and humanitarian projects. SKUS’s initiatives are designed to empower disadvantaged groups, enhance self-sufficiency, and foster community resilience through services in Education, Protection, Gender equality, Emergency Rohingya Response, MHPSS, GBV, PSEA, livelihood, Technical and vocational training, health, sanitation, and more.
