- Identify, evaluate, and source construction materials from reliable local suppliers.
- Procure construction materials including stone aggregates, sand, cement, hardware items, electrical materials, plumbing materials, construction consumables, and other project-related materials.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers, prepare comparative statements, and support the procurement process in accordance with project requirements and company procedures.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Coordinate with the Engineering, Construction, Store, and Accounts/Finance departments to ensure timely procurement of required materials.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding material availability, delivery schedules, transportation, and documentation.
- Assist in supplier identification, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure that procured materials comply with approved specifications, drawings, BOQ requirements, and project quality requirements.
- Maintain proper procurement records, including quotations, purchase orders, supplier information, comparative statements, and delivery documents.
- Monitor market prices and availability of construction materials and provide relevant information to management.
- Perform other procurement-related duties assigned by the management.
Age At least 30 yearsOnly Male Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in the construction/infrastructure sector.Practical knowledge and experience in sourcing construction materials such as stone, sand, cement, hardware items, electrical items, plumbing materials, and construction consumables.Good supplier sourcing, negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.Ability to evaluate quotations and prepare comparative statements.Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel.Knowledge of construction materials and basic understanding of material specifications will be an advantage.Ability to work under pressure and meet project procurement schedules.Good command of English and Bangla; knowledge of Chinese will be an advantage.
