Eco-Leaders: Youth Empowerment Initiative on Environment, Climate and Renewable Energy for Bangladesh
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator will lead the implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of the “Eco-Leaders” project across Bangladesh. The role requires strong expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, incubation and innovation support, climate action, youth leadership development, and gender-responsive programming.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Coordination
Lead the implementation of project activities across targeted regions of Bangladesh.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, work schedules, timelines, and operational strategies.
Ensure timely execution of project deliverables in alignment with project objectives and donor requirements.
Coordinate project activities including bootcamps, EXPOs, consultations, and high-level dialogues.
Monitor project progress and oversee budget utilization and compliance requirements.
Incubation & Innovation Management
Establish and manage a structured incubation program for youth-led environmental and climate-focused initiatives.
Support participants in transforming innovative ideas into viable social enterprises or green ventures.
Recruit and coordinate entrepreneur mentors and industry professionals.
Facilitate mentorship sessions, networking opportunities, and capacity-building activities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Management
Build strong relationships with government agencies, development partners, private sector organizations, and community leaders.
Coordinate multi-stakeholder partnerships to support project implementation.
Facilitate consultations with youth leaders, women representatives, and local stakeholders.
Policy Advocacy & Climate Action
Support development of policy briefs and advocacy materials related to climate action.
Facilitate engagement with policymakers to promote gender-responsive climate policies.
Promote inclusive participation and climate justice approaches throughout project activities.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
• Prepare project reports, donor updates, and impact assessments.
• Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Track project indicators and ensure quality reporting standards.
Age 28 to 38 years Educational Requirements: MBA, MSS, MSc, or Master’s degree in Development Studies, Environmental Science, Gender Studies, Business Administration, Climate Change, or related disciplines.Experience Requirements:Minimum 5–7 years of experience in managing development, climate change, youth engagement, or sustainability-related projects.Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong project management and coordination skillsExcellent leadership and team management abilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExpertise in stakeholder engagement and partnership managementKnowledge of climate action, renewable energy, and environmental sustainabilityUnderstanding of gender-responsive programming and social inclusionExcellent communication and report-writing skills in English and BanglaWillingness to travel frequently to climate-vulnerable and remote areas
