Job Responsibilities
- Implementation & Management of Field Level Activities-20%
- Responsible for planning, budgeting, and implementing all the activities related to the project in line with the results
- Designed projects implementation guideline
- Developed project beneficiaries' selection criteria
- Provided support to admin department for physical setup of field office through mobilized local government and local administration
- Organized project inception workshop
- Tracking financial expenditure and recommendation for financial process
- Conducted regular field visits at projects area and HHs visit meaningfully and purposively.
- Monitoring & evaluation, and Knowledge Management-30%
- Ensure day-to-day observation, monitoring, and follow-up of all field activities mentioned in the annual action plan and directed by the program management;
- Conduct regular team meetings and share the knowledge & findings to ensure effective program implementation;
- Assist the program management and MEAL team to conduct research, study, data collection, baseline survey, mid-term evaluation, and final evaluation as per (MEAL) framework and ensure quality implementation;
- Take initiative to make the CRM (Complaint Response Mechanism) active and monitor regularly, and circulate other Govt. hotline services (i.e., 999, 333, 109);
- Conduct program risks assessment and shares the mitigation strategy with program management regularly;
- Manage various audits (external & internal) and queries from different agencies regarding respective field office as per the organizational requirement;
- Financial Management-5%
- Manage project finance & budget (i.e., Bill, vouchers, PR, money requisition, cash advance, etc.) following organizational tools & systems;
- Maintain oversight of grant disbursement, stipend to direct beneficiaries as well as other contractual aspects of the program, and provide the required support to ensure financial reports as per the requirement of program management.
- Staff Management & Capacity Building-10%
- Manage, supervise and support the field staff in conducting their assigned responsibilities as well as play a mentoring role as required;
- Ensure required capacity of respective field staffs in delivering qualitative output, and properly acknowledge their performance (annual performance appraisal, daily attendance, field movement register) at least bi-weekly;
- Identify learning & development need, and take the required action to fill the gaps/needs in coordination with program management and HRM&D unit;
- Ensure proper action to make the staff accountable for their responsibilities as well as to IR
- Organized and conducted program orientation for new project's staff
- Participate and facilitate project-related awareness-raising programs at the community level, Schools, and SMCs.
- Developed and conducted enterprise development and business management skill training
- Provided one to one coaching to staff for understanding project goals and objectives
- Conduct terminal competency-based training for ensuring quality education
- Facilitated health & hygiene training for staff
- Advocacy, Networking, and Communication-5%
- Represent IR to Govt. counterparts at field level and play role in trust-building with key Govt. agencies as per the direction of program management;
- Build networks and collaborate with local civil society movements for local-level advocacy initiatives in coordination with program management as well as external relation and communication department
- Established Upazila platform for self-help groups and children in ALO project
- Activate Shishu Kallyan board at working area
- Continue coordination and cooperation with existing forums and networks
- Reporting and Documentation-10%
- Take lead to produce quality program/project progress reports as per the requirements of donors & IR
- Prepare monthly/interim/any other reports of the project as required by line management;
- Collect most significant case stories from the field and prepare learning document;
- Explore, document, and disseminate lessons learned and good practices of education in forums and networks
- Maintain proper process documentation including files of children, event reports, visit reports, education reports, etc.
- To ensure 100% quality education for children-10%
- Collection of educational progress report and analyze data and prepare summary sheet to develop an annual action plan.
- Ensure counseling sessions for examinee and weak performing students.
- Start sensitizing the terminal competency of education.

- Other Requirement-10%
- Facilitate donor/external visits and ensure that recommendation of visitors is addressed.
- Promote the health and security of the staff of the designated project(s) by ensuring the application of security guidelines, health and safety in the workplace, and healthy living conditions and practices
- Ensure all staff members working for the designated projects receive appropriate briefings and ongoing training in security-related topics
- Oversee and monitor staff adherence to security protocols, including security incident reports
- Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
- Responsible for seasonal (Ramadan & Qurbani) & emergency response programs if require.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
Additional Requirements
- Experience in working with Child Rights-based approaches; Rights-based approach, Livelihood, women empowerment, and Adolescent development
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint/Adobe Photoshop/ Basic Internet/ etc.
