Job Description
- Accountability:
- Ensure that WASH services provided to refugees and other persons of concern to UNHCR are based on UNHCR country and/or internationally recognized standards and policies.
- Responsibility:
- Contribute to monitoring of UNHCR WASH resources to ensure proper utilization based on set priorities.
- Participate in meetings aimed at formulation and development of WASH program project goals, strategies and approaches for UNHCR plan of cooperation.
- Assist the Assistant WASH Officer to conduct camp based WASH needs/gaps assessments/analysis.
- Assist in technical guidance and support to IPs on all Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Promotion related issues in all camps ensuring a consistent, coherent, systematic and harmonized approach across all the camps.
- Support monitoring and reviewing all WASH field/camp activities advising on acceleration of project implementation and overall improvement of partner's performance and efficient delivery of WASH services in the field.
- Contribute to drafting regular analysis of WASH situational report, periodic updates to overall SOD bi-weekly situational report (Sitrep) any other reports and updates that may be required by the senior management.
- In the absence of the Assistant WASH Officer, participate in WASH coordination meetings with eventual report to the Supervisor on the discussion points.
- Perform any other related duties as requested.
- Authority:
- Participates in Technical monitoring of the WASH activities.
