Muslim Aid UK has been providing humanitarian support to Rohingya Refugees population through local implementing partners and reached 27,062 populations through food security, shelter, protection and education supports. Muslim Aid UK requires a Field Coordinator (FC) based in Cox`s Bazar to oversee and coordinate, our 2019-2020 Rohingya Response Plan in Ukhiya and Teknaf Upazilas.. The FC will provide technical support to the implementing partner(s) at local level for smooth implementation of humanitarian programme at the ground and also to ensure quality of deliveries, make the programme accountable & transparent to the all stakeholders. and the FC will represent Muslim Aid UK in local level coordination mechanism`s; liaise with local Government administration, Camp management and Muslim Aid UK Country Office in Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities
- The FC will lead Muslim Aid UK's Rohingya Response Plan in Cox's Bazar. He/she will support the partners in the identification of the evolving humanitarian needs, development of concept notes and budget for ensuring effective humanitarian support to those living inside the camps and host communities in Cox's Bazar.
- He/she will provide technical supports to the implementing partners in the area of protection, education, shelter, health, food security, WASH etc.
- The FC will develop the capacity of MA's partners and their staff in line with the nationally and globally recognized humanitarian standards, policy and guidelines.
- He/she will liaise with MA's finance, procurement, HR and other relevant departments to ensure compliance, quality and accountable products are available in a timely manner.
- The FC will provide technical supports to the partners in planning, monitoring and implementation and will ensure that the individual project successfully completed on time with quality outputs.
- He/she will build up a rapport with the humanitarian system, coordination bodies, humanitarian agencies, government officials, local administration, camp management etc. and also will build up a good coordination among all for smooth implementation of a humanitarian programme in Cox's Bazar.
- He/she will support in day to day monitoring of the intervention and share the findings with MA line management. He/she will capture learnings on regular basis and share with MA personnel and other relevant stake holders.
- The FC will also be responsible for reporting and documentations of the progress of programme.
- He/she will support the implementing partners in preparing quality reports based on the actual facts and figures of the projects.
- Engage with prospective new implementing partners, providing recommendations to Dhaka offices for new and existing partnerships.
- Actively identify the consortium opportunities.
- Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.
Educational Requirements
- E - Essential, D - Desirable
- Post-graduation degree from any recognized university (E)
- Diploma degree on Disaster Management (D)
- Received trainings on disaster management, policy and guidelines related to DRR and emergency response (D)
Additional Requirements
- At least five (5) years' experience in managing emergency response initiatives, recovery and rehabilitation projects after disaster. (E)
- Have real time experience in leading/conducting emergency needs assessment (D)
- Have true experience in working with partnership with local NGOs (E)
- Have real time experience in working with Rohingya refugees (E)
- Excellent personal communication skills in written and verbal English (E)
